Autopsy released in Water Related Death on Lake Keowee

Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis announces that an autopsy was performed Tuesday on 68-year-old Leo Cameron Pace of Asheville, who died Monday afternoon in the Oconee Memorial Hospital emergency department. He was found floating, unresponsive and face down in Lake Keowee near Stamp Creek Landing, Monday afternoon. Addis says that the autopsy showed he probably sustained a cardiac arrhythmia resulting in sudden death, due to a pre-existing coronary disease. His manner of death will be classified as natural. Addis reports that Pace had no physical trauma; although he was found floating in water, there were no signs of drowning found at autopsy.
