City and County Governments Closed

It is a snow day today in Oconee County, with government offices closed.  The City of Seneca is also closing today, explains Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander.  “We knew this morning that the roads were going to be pretty rough because the temperature was real cold last night, so we made the decision to close City Hall.  I know the county had already made that decision too.  A lot of secondary roads are still dangerous, so I would encourage anyone that if you don’t have to get out, don’t get out.” Seneca Light and Water is also closed today due to the inclement weather.  You may still use the convenient drop box located at the drive thru.  For any Seneca Light and Water emergencies call 864-885-2723.
