Clemson QB named Heisman Finalists

The Tigers quarterback is going to New York City. Clemson University’s DeShaun Watson is a Heisman Trophy finalist for the second straight year, meaning he’ll be in New York City for Saturday’s announcement of the award given by the Downtown Athletic Club to the top player in college football. The other finalists are Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma wide receiver Dede Westbrook, and Michigan linebacker and returner Jabrill Peppers. Voting for the award is done by a nationwide panel of media members and former Heisman winners.
