Concrete poured at Seneca Water Treatment Plant

Some 30-truckloads of concrete were poured this week on the construction site of the Seneca Water Treatment Plant. The multi-million dollar upgrade is coming together, explains Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander. “The Water Plant Expansion Project that is going on right now is coming together very nicely. It’s going to be a great addition to Seneca and to our Utility Department. We were able to take that existing location and be able to address the needs of our community for a long, long time.” Construction is hard to see, but the mayor said it is all about the future. “Its hard to see there, I mean unless you are on the water you can see some work being done, but it is what the future is about, its about the infrastructure and making sure that they are there.” The Harper Corporation of Greenville is the general contractor on the project, which is anticipated to be complete in 2016.
