Forigiving those bad weather school days

The South Carolina House of Representatives today gave second reading to forgiving up to three missed schools days due to this winter’s bad weather. State Representative Bill Whitmire supports forgiving the days, and says final reading of the bill takes place tomorrow. Oconee missed four days this year, but needed only one of the three because three makeup dates were built into this year’s calendar. Pickens County, however, needs all three, as one of its schools lost six days because of electrical issues.
