New Walhalla High granted Occupancy Permit

On Thursday, the State Department of Education approved the occupancy permit for the new Walhalla High School off Highway 11. Oconee County Schools Assistant Superintendent of Operations Steve Hanvey said the new Walhalla High is scheduled to open in August for the new school year. Now having that permit means the district can open the $54 million school to more groups of people, including open houses for the public.
