OC Sheriff’s Office arrests Three after execution of Warrant

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals Thursday after the execution of a search warrant at an address in the Cheohee Valley area of Oconee County. An undercover operative working at the direction of the Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 10, made a purchase of methamphetamine from a residence on Tamassee Lane from 39-year-old Crystal Annette Rogers, who resided at the same address. Based upon the purchase of methamphetamine from the residence, Narcotics Agents from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant. The search warrant was executed by the Narcotics Agents as well as the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team. Besides the arrest of Rogers on a warrant charging her with distribution of methamphetamine, 35-year-old David Wayne Howard of Crestwood Drive in Seneca was arrested on three outstanding arrests warrants on forgery charges from the Seneca Police Department. Also arrested was 59-year-old Tony Alfred Swafford of the Tamassee Lane address after a quantity of meth was found on his person. Howard was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on a combined $15,000 personal recognizance bond. Rogers remains in custody at the Detention Center on a $20,000 surety bond. Swafford remains in custody awaiting a bond hearing. Swafford has been charged with one count of possession of less than one gram of methamphetamine.
