OEA July Business Forum on Thursday

The July Business Forum of the Oconee Economic Alliance (OEA) will feature the premiere of the video in the Made In Oconee campaign. Along with the video, there will be a panel discussion about the process and the importance of exposing the students of Oconee County to a future in manufacturing. The Made In Oconee campaign is an effort to tell the story and further the conversation of the manufacturing sector in Oconee County. “Our community has a rich history of manufacturing prowess and a hard work ethic that is not dying, contrary to popular belief, but flourishing in the changing economy and generating new opportunities. The Made In Oconee campaign is designed to celebrate what is made in Oconee and enhance the understanding of what makes Oconee County a great place to live, work, play and invest,” said OEA executive director Richard Blackwell. “The Oconee Economic Alliance Business Forum is a monthly opportunity for citizens and business leaders to come together in Oconee County to network, receive timely updates on topics facing the community and discuss ways to work together in making Oconee County a better place,” added Blackwell. The forum begins at 8am on July 14, 2016 and the public is encouraged to attend this free event at Thrift Development, which is located at 180 Bountyland Road in Seneca.
