Seneca City Basketball Tournament on Saturday

The Seneca Recreation Department hosts their annual City Basketball Tournament this Saturday. Both girls and boys, young and old, will be playing, says Seneca Assistant Recreation Director Shannon Knight. “All of our Seneca City Teams, everybody from 8U boys all the way up to our 14U boys and our 10U girls and 12U girls as well.” Knight tells where and when to see the kids play. “Games start at 9:30am at Shaver and at 10am at Gignilliat, so we will have tournaments going on at both places. It is also picture day, so kids will be having their pictures taken and then the City Basketball Tournament afterwards.” This will be some great youth basketball, concludes Knight. “I want to encourage everybody to come out, watch the kids play, and enjoy a good weekend of basketball.” Admission to get into the basketball games at both the Shaver Recreation Complex and the Gignilliat Community Center is $3 for adults and $2 for kids over six years old. Players and coaches are admitted free.
