Seneca Library to hold Blood Connection Program and Blood Drive

The Oconee County Public Library’s (OCPL) Seneca Branch, along with The Blood Connection, will host a special Community Speaks program on Monday, Aug. 29 at 5:30pm. A representative from The Blood Connection will be on hand to explain how important blood donation is to our community, how rules of changed about who can donate and when, and more. The goal of this special program is to generate enough interest to hold the first OCPL Blood Drive on Thursday, Sept. 1, from 10am to 3pm. The Bloodmobile will there in the Seneca Library parking lot. Please come out on Monday, Aug. 29, at 5:30pm for this important program, or call the Seneca Library at 864-882-4855, and let them know you’re interested in donating on Thursday, Sept. 1. The blood drive can only happen if a certain number of people have signed up to donate, but you don’t have to sign up to attend the program on Monday, Aug. 29. So come find out more about donating the gift of life.
