Seneca Man arrested on Shoplifting Charges

Joshua Douglas BurnsAmy Elizabeth MooreThe Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca man this week on two outstanding shoplifting warrants. The Sheriff’s Office issued press releases on March 31 and April 13 seeking the public’s help in solving two separate shoplifting cases that occurred at the Seneca Walmart location. As the investigation continued, warrants were obtained against 38-year-old Joshua Douglas Burns of Seneca for stealing multiple computers from the store on March 13 and one computer from the store on April 5. The total combined value of the computers taken in both cases is around $2,196. A second individual, 34-year-old Amy Elizabeth Moore of Newry was also arrested in connection to the April 5 shoplifting. Burns was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on a combined $5,000 personal recognizance bond. Moore was also released from the Detention Center on a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.
