Seneca Mayor hopes Businesses have Happy Thanksgiving

According to travel experts, today is the busiest travel day of the year in the United States. As millions hit the road for Thanksgiving, Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander encourages residents to slow down and drive safely. “Today is one of the busiest days of the year for traveling. I want to encourage everyone to take a little extra time, be careful, slow down and get to your destination safely. I hope you have the best Thanksgiving that you’ve ever had and be able to be with your family and reflect on what it is all about.” Tomorrow is Black Friday, which is widely considered one of the busiest shopping days of the year. Mayor Alexander hopes residents will shop local and help area businesses. “To all the businesses here in Seneca, I want to wish them a happy Thanksgiving and I hope this is a great season for you. I hope the numbers are good through the holiday season, especially the retailers that they are able to sell a lot of things because they really do rely on this time of year for their business, especially November and December are big time for retail.” The biggest driving days of the Thanksgiving holiday are Wednesday and Sunday. Please be safe.
