SHS nationally ranked by U.S. News and World Report

Seneca High School has been awarded a Silver Medal from U.S. News and World Report as a Best High School in South Carolina. Seneca High School ranks 19th in South Carolina and 2,360th nationally. U.S. News and World Report uses the South Carolina State Assessment Program results as well as Advanced Placement Test results to determine the best high schools in the nation. According to U.S. News and World Report, “Only high schools that were ranked in the top 30% of all public high schools in the US earned the right to a U.S. News Best High School 2016 medal.” Seneca High School Principal Cliff Roberts said, “I can’t express how proud I am of this faculty, staff and student body. In the words of the great Dabo Swinney, ‘The best is yet to come!’ This recognition comes at a great time so we should use this as motivation to finish strong. We should be proud of what has been accomplished, but stay hungry for more. Our kids deserve the best, and our faculty and staff are doing an excellent job of giving it to them.” Seneca High School was also named a Palmetto’s Finest Award finalist earlier in the spring, after making the semi-final list last year.
