Textile Mill Reunion at OHC

The Oconee Heritage Center hosts an Oconee Textile Mills Reunion on Saturday, explains assistant curator and director Jennifer Moss. “This Saturday from 11am to 2pm, we are having our T is for Textiles, which is part of our year-long program series ABC’s of Oconee series. We are having a Textile Mills Reunion and anyone who worked in any of Oconee’s many textile mills is invited to come share memories, gather, have some food and fun and see the exhibits here. It is free and you can bring your family. If you have any pictures or anything you would like to share with us, we would be glad to have them.” In addition, attendees can sign up to participate in an oral history project to preserve the stories of the textile mills in Oconee County. The Oconee Heritage Center is located at 123 Brown’s Square Drive in Walhalla, behind the Bantam Chef.
