Thousands of Trick-or-Treaters descend on Seneca

Over 2,000 trick-or-treaters descended on Norton-Thompson Park Thursday night for the City of Seneca’s annual Halloween on the Green. Members of the Seneca City Council as well as city staff, police and firefighters passed out candy from 5-7pm the night before Halloween. Seneca Events Coordinator Riley Johnson said the event was a huge success even after pushing it up a day. “It turned out very good, we were so happy for you guys helping us get the word out about us moving this event to the night before Halloween, so people didn’t have to make a choice on whether to go to the Seneca vs. Daniel game or go to Halloween on the Green. We just had a great turnout, we thank everyone for coming out and we wish everybody a Happy Halloween.” To see pictures of the City of Seneca’s Halloween on the Green, visit www.seneca.sc.us.
