Two Inches of Snow today in OC

Two inches of snow fell last night in Walhalla, according to official U.S. Weather Observer Barbara Wilson. “We recorded two inches. It did start with precipitation, a little rain yesterday about 4pm. At 5pm, it started snowing until well after midnight and it was a nice light snow. Predicted was about eight inches but this morning I only measured two inches on the ground and that resulted in a melted precipitation of .52 of an inch. Our high yesterday was 38 degrees and our low was 29 degrees.” Wilson and her family have served Oconee County as the Official U.S. Weather Observers for the last 99 years.
