Two Spots remain in New 4K Program at Tamassee DAR

This coming school year, the Tamassee DAR School, off Highway 11 in Oconee County, launches a new 1st Steps 4K Program through the Pennsylvania Children’s Center, explains director Janis Young. “We are very excited about being approved by South Carolina 1st Steps to provide 4K. The 4K Program has been made available to early learning centers because in the public domain there weren’t enough spots for all the children that needed that extra little boost that foundation that makes their readiness for Kindergarten so important.” Young says two spots remain in the inaugural 4K class. “We will open with 10 students, currently we have eight enrolled and so we have two slots available. These children will go to school from 8am to 2:30pm each day. They will receive breakfast, lunch and a snack. They will do outdoor time, they will have rest period and then of course lots of learning opportunities.” To learn more about the 4K Program of the Pennsylvania Children’s Center at Tamassee DAR School call Janis Young at 864-944-2270.
