Westminster City Administrator announces retirement

The man running the daily activities of the City of Westminster has announced his retirement date.  David Smith told the Westminster City Council Tuesday night that he would be stepping down in June.  “I’ve given notice to the council that June 30 will be my last day, I’m going to go ahead and retire.  I’ve got some health issues that I need to address, so if I am doing that without having to work long hours at city hall and various late meetings and things such as that, I think I can better take care of the health issues that way rather than being here at the office.”  Smith will retire as Westminster City Administrator just shy of ten years with the city as he took the position in August of 2004.
