10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office Announced 30 Year Sentence For Man Charged In 2017 Homicide

(Seneca)————–The 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office announced yesterday that Ahmad Neely pled guilty in General Sessions Court in Anderson County to charges of Voluntary Manslaughter, Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of a Weapon During Commission of a Violent Crime in regards to the killing in 2017 of Charles Hillery. 

Neely received a negotiated 30 year jail sentence. 

Back in August of 2017, Neely and 4 co-defendants conspired to commit an armed robbery of Travis Perry, who lived in Pendleton. During the course of the attempted armed robbery, Hillery and Neely had a confrontation and Neely stabbed Hillery 28 times. Hillery had no prior dealings or familiarity with the co-defendants prior to this case.
