$1M in State Funds committed to Two OC Road Projects

One million dollars of state “C” money was committed yesterday to re-surfacing sections of two Oconee County roads. One is in the Seneca area; the other, in the southern part of the county. Work is planned on Isbell Road near South Highway 11, which is a road that serves many log and poultry trucks. The other project will widen and re-surface part of Radio Station Road from Wells Highway to Radisson Road. The Oconee County “C” Fund Committee approved the expenditure for both road projects. There’s a possibility that the projects will be bid to contractors later this year, but the work might not start until next spring.
