2013 ACT Scores released

The ACT is an achievement test that measures the academic skills and knowledge learned in schools that are critical for success in college.  The ACT, along with the SAT, is often used as one metric in the decision regarding admission to post-secondary education in the United States. ACT scores are provided for English, mathematics, reading, and science.  A mean composite score is calculated based on these four subtests.

Oconee County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mike Lucas stated, “The ACT is but one measure that we use to gauge our performance at the school and district level since the test is aligned with the high school curriculum.  I congratulate our students and teachers on a job well done.  We will continue to work to ensure that future students are even better prepared for this assessment tool.  The ACT is a K-12 test in that it measures students at the end of their public school career planning to attend college.”
