A 48-hour boil water advisory, issued by the City of Walhalla Water Department, is in effect for customers along Highlands Highway from Maple to Atlas, impacting both sides and nearby areas, following damage to a water line by a contractor.

Repair crews are working diligently to fix the issue, and residents are advised to vigorously boil water for at least three minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, or food preparation, and to avoid using ice made from unboiled water.
