Sports Update For Tuesday, February 26th, 2019; Walhalla Defeats Seneca In Pickens Pre-Season Baseball Tournament

The Walhalla Baseball team defeated Seneca by a score of 6-5 in a five inning game last night at the Pickens Pre-season Baseball Tournament. Seneca jumped out to a 2-0 lead after two innings but the Razorbacks responded with three runs in the top of the third, one run in the top of the fourth and two runs in the top of the fifth to take a 6-2 lead before Seneca responded with three runs in the bottom of the fifth, however, the Bobcat rally fell short. 

Cody Barnes had two hits for Walhalla while Alec Woodard pitched four innings and had nine strikeouts for the Razorbacks. 

Games that are scheduled tonight in Pickens will have Pickens taking on Seneca at 5pm followed by Walhalla taking on Daniel with a first pitch scheduled for 7:30pm. 

The Seneca Lady Cats Soccer team defeated Pickens last night by a score of 3 to 1. Anne-Hamilton Leroy had three goals while Madison Towe, Dasha Henderson and Gladys Solis each had assists. Goalkeeper Amma Merck had eight saves and allowed only the one goal. The Seneca Lady Cats will travel to Pickens for a game Thursday night at 6pm. 

The Seneca softball team will have a scrimmage today against Greenwood at Seneca High with a 5:30pm first pitch.

The Clemson baseball team will host East Tennessee State today at 4pm at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Clemson men’s basketball team will return to action tomorrow night as they travel to Pittsburgh in the ACC. 

The South Carolina baseball team will host Appalachian State today at Founders Park in Columbia with a first pitch scheduled for 4pm. The South Carolina men’s basketball team will host Alabama tonight at 7pm at the Colonial Life Arena in the SEC.
