Oconee County Man Sentenced Up To 15 Years In Prison On Property Crime Charges

(Seneca, SC)————————An Oconee County jury found Michael Lee Trotter guilty this week on chages of Grand Larceny, Petit Larceny, 2nd Degree Burglary and Possession of Tools Capable of Being Used in a Crime. Trotter will serve up to 15 years in prison for the crimes he is charged with and was sentenced by Judge Scott Sprouse, according to a release from the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office 

Trotter was charged and found guility for taking two trailers from a location on Shiloh Road on or between November 27th and November 28th of 2017. Trotter was later located by deputies from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office on vacant property next door to his home. Also at that location were the stolen trailers as well. Since there were “No Trespassing” signs located on the property where Trotter was located, Trotter was taken to jail on Trespassing charges and later served with the arrest warrants on the other charges.
