COVID-19 Being Monitored Locally & Nationwide
Federal, State, and Local Government and Health Officials are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), there are currently 43 confirmed cases in the US across 10 different states. The School District of Oconee County is also monitoring the pandemic. In a statement, the District said that while the risk in our area remains low, they are working closely with State Health Officials to stay informed and implement any recommendations as they are determined. In the meantime, everyone is encouraged to practice preventative measures like proper hand washing, covering your face when coughing or sneezing and staying home when you are sick.
