7.10 Miles Of Pickens County Roads Scheduled To Be Improved

(Seneca, SC)—–The South Carolina Department of Transportation is providing public notification of projects identified for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the South Carolina roadway system.

The reconstruction and rehabilitation of the South Carolina roadway system is part of the Proposed 2020 Pavement Improvement Program.  After the public comment period, the program will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.

The total Program consists of 561.39 miles of pavement improvements across the state.

Based upon information on the SCDOT website, there are 7.10 miles of roads scheduled for improvement in Pickens County.

The locations for road improvements in Pickens County are Five Forks Road from Highway 123 to Clemson Street and Highway 93 from Alta Vista Court to Amsterdam Road.  Both locations for road improvements are in and close to the city of Liberty.
