70 Retirees honored by SDOC

The School District of Oconee County (SDOC) recently honored 70 employees at a retirement dinner, tells Superintendent Dr. Michael Thorsland. “That is an annual event for the school district where we honor our retirees. It was a little larger event this year because of the end of the TERI (Teacher and Employee Retention Incentive) Program. So, we had 70 individuals invited to that dinner and they represented over 1,600 years of service to students in Oconee County. So, it was certainly a big celebration that night and we’re very grateful for the years of service that those employees gave Oconee County.”
