OC Sheriff’s Office conducts Operation Infinity Roundup #5

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announces the fifth roundup of “Operation Infinity”.  The Sheriff’s Office had four major drug roundups last year.  This is the next installment of the Sheriff’s Office non-stop efforts in the war on drugs.  Officers from Seneca, Walhalla, and Westminster Police Departments assisted the Sheriff’s Office in the operation. In all, 20 individuals were being sought on a variety of drug distribution charges that stretched from methamphetamine to marijuana to crack to prescription drugs. “Operation Infinity is a reference to the ongoing commitment of the Sheriff’s Office to combat the drug problem in Oconee County,” according to Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw.  “We will continue to fight this problem. Our Infinity operations are part of our enforcement efforts to protect all of our citizens and improve everyone’s safety.” By 3pm Wednesday afternoon, 10 of the individuals being sought were arrested, four of which were already in jail on unrelated charges.  Ten others are still being sought by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.
