Lunch and Learn Walhalla’s German History

Bring your lunch and learn about the German history and heritage of Walhalla at the Oconee Heritage Center (OHC). “It’s Oktoberfest time in Walhalla and there is no better time to learn about the fascinating story of the German settlement. From its beginnings in Charleston to the development of the town, you’ll discover why we still celebrate our German heritage,” said OHC curator and director Leslie White. The free lunch and learn events takes place on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 12:30-1:30pm. The event is free at the OHC, which is located at 123 Brown’s Square Drive in Walhalla.
