Clemson Students building Habitat for Humanity Homecoming House

For the 24th year, more than 500 volunteers are donating their time to build a home for a local family in just 10 days as part of the Clemson University Chapter of Habitat for Humanity’s annual Homecoming Build. The work takes place on Bowman field, so fans can see the $65,000 home before the Homecoming football game against Wake Forest on Saturday, Oct. 7. The following Monday, Oct. 8, the house will be moved to its permanent location. This year, the Clemson University Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, student volunteers, and on-campus organizations raised $30,000 in donations to build the Homecoming Habitat for Humanity House. In addition, both the Pickens and Oconee county Habitat for Humanity branches are partners on the project and they also provide funding, materials and volunteers. Read more online at www.clemson.edu.
