OC releases Fall Foliage Driving Tour

The Mountain Lakes Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and Oconee County Parks, Recreation, and Tourism announce the release of their Fall Foliage Driving Tour. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to check it out and get started on a great weekend in the mountains of Oconee County. The fall colors are spectacular this time of year with fluorescent reds, yellows, oranges and greens. To enjoy a day trip through Oconee County, use the map at http://scmountainlakes.com/play/fall-foliage-driving-tour/ to navigate your way up through the mountainous, winding roads of the Sumter National Forest, visit several waterfalls, view Lake Jocassee, dine at the locations listed, stay at one of the accommodations, and make a weekend out of it. Peak season varies from year to year, but typically begins in late October and runs through mid-November.
