Jury finds Collins Guilty of Murder

Wednesday afternoon, an Oconee County jury found 26-year-old Kenneth Strother Collins guilty of murder, kidnapping, and the possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Judge Scott Sprouse sentenced him to serve 50 years in prison. In January of 2015, Collins stabbed Jeremy Lee Littleton twice in the back as he was trying to run out the door of Collins’ home on North Laurel Street in Walhalla. During two days of testimony, the jury was told that methamphetamine played a role in murder. Collins’ defense mounted a case for self-defense.
