Ten injured in School Bus Accident

Ten people, including eight students, were injured Saturday afternoon in collisions involving school buses. Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol report that both collisions happened around 12:30pm on Highway 11 in Pickens County when one bus rear-ended a car, causing a second bus to rear-end the first bus. Two people in the car were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. Eight of the approximately 55 students combined on both buses reported minor injuries. Both buses were carrying band students from Walhalla High School. Parents picked the students up after the incident, which is still under investigation.
