The Fall Great Oconee Clean Up scheduled for Nov. 4

In the wake of the success of the first ever Great Oconee Clean Up that occurred in April, the Keep Oconee Beautiful Association, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, Oconee County Solid Waste, The School District of Oconee County and the Oconee Economic Alliance is announcing the fall edition of The Great Oconee Clean Up. The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 8:15am until noon. All those who are volunteering and participating are asked to meet in the parking lot of West-Oak High School at 130 Warrior Lane. Free parking and transportation to the litter pick-up locations will be provided. The first 100 registrants will received a free t-shirt and anyone under the age of 17 who would like to participate must be accompanied by an adult. To register, go to www.koba-goc.eventbrite.com.
