Double Check Candy this Halloween

One of most enjoyable parts of Halloween is the candy. Safe Kids Upstate is reminding parents and children about checking candy before it is eaten, explains Daby Snipes, Special Project Coordinator with Safe Kids Upstate. “Check treats for signs of tampering before children are allowed to eat them. Remind children to eat only treats in original, unopened wrappers. Candy should be thrown away if the wrapper is faded or torn, or if the candy is unwrapped.” For more Halloween safety tips, visit www.safekidsupstate.org.
