OC Sheriff’s Office arrests Wanted Woman

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Oconee County woman Thursday on multiple charges, including grand larceny and first degree burglary. 33-year-old Christy Ann Reed was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center by a deputy from the Warrants Division after turning herself in at the Law Enforcement Center in Walhalla. Reed also had an outstanding warrant on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Arrest warrants list Reed’s address as Lons Hill Road in Westminster while the Oconee County Detention Center lists Reed’s address as Snow Creek Forest Drive in Seneca. Back on Oct. 20, Crimestoppers of Oconee County, Inc. in partnership with the Sheriff’s Office issued a press release seeking the public’s help in locating Reed. The grand larceny and first degree burglary charges stem from an incident that was reported to the Sheriff’s Office the evening of Oct. 3, at an address on Carver Knoll Road near Westminster. According to evidence obtained in the investigation, entry was made into the residence and multiple items were taken, including a large amount of cash and several firearms. The value of the cash and firearms taken is over $22,000. That evidence gave investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division probable cause to obtain arrest warrants in the case against Reed. The warrant on the charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor was obtained due to an investigation that started at the Lons Hill Road address by the Criminal Investigations Division due to Reed helping a 15-year-old to be and become “habitually truant.” The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office had previously charged and arrested another individual in this case, 29-year-old Tiffany Pauline Moore, who has addresses listed at Lons Hill Road in Westminster and South Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on Oct. 19, on the same charges as Reed in the same investigations after being transported to Oconee County from Myrtle Beach. The arraignment judge set a combined $56,000 surety bond on Reed, who also has a hold placed on her by the Myrtle Beach Police Department. Moore was released from the Oconee County Detention Center after posting a combined $46,275 surety bond on Oct. 20. She is required to wear electronic monitoring as a condition of her bond. Reed will also be required to wear an electronic monitor before release as a condition of bond.
