Lunch and Learn at OHC

Bring your lunch and learn about Cherokee history with Dr. Dave LaVere on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 12:30pm, at the Oconee Heritage Center (OHC). Visitors to Cherokee country documented their contact with the Cherokee through journals and reports. These documents are very valuable primary resources that tell us what the Cherokee were like. Dr. LaVere will discuss these primary sources and examine how these documents were used to shape our understanding of the Cherokee people. The program is free at the OHC, which is located at 123 Brown’s Square Drive in downtown Walhalla.
