Salem Library to host Indoor Kitchen Gardens

Learn how to have your own indoor kitchen garden a great way to grow plants all year round on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 2:30pm at the Salem Library. This program will be presented by Kerri Roach, a Clemson Extension agent. Picture a traditional English ‘kitchen garden’ spreading wide from the back door, providing everything your family might need in fruit and vegetable supplies. While this is not quite the desire of today’s typical family, a kitchen garden re-defined can be a great asset. Join the Salem Library as they navigate through some great options for small scale ‘kitchen gardens’ indoors and out including raised beds, trellis systems, container gardening and even vegetable propagation. They will discuss some unique planting ideas and some tricks and tips to save money along the way. Bring your ideas, questions and comments and join in this fun interactive program.
