Painting approved for Seneca Rec Buildings

It’s time again to spruce up the recreation buildings in the City of Seneca. At their meeting this week the Seneca City Council approved $16,000 to repaint at Gignilliat and Shaver, explains Seneca Recreation Director Rick Lacey. “It’s been about five year since we painted the inside and outside of Shaver and we’re going to also paint the south room, north room and the foyer at Gignilliat.” Lacey gives the company chosen to perform the work. “I had three groups in, we did a pre-bid walk through so everybody would bid on the same thing. So, Positive Outlook Painting can in as the low bid and he seems like a pretty good guy.” Positive Outlook Painting will receive $14,000 to paint at the two facilities and the council approved an additional $2,000 for more painting at Gignilliat, adds Lacey. “I actually need to paint the bottom blue part in the Gignilliat gym that I did not include in the walk through.” The work is scheduled over the next couple of months at both buildings, of course outside painting will depend on the weather.
