Holiday Lights are up in Seneca

The City of Seneca is now shinning bright for the holidays after crews with Seneca Light and Water hung lights on downtown street poles as well as on light posts along the major roads surrounding the city limits. Seneca Utilities Director Bob Faires said it was a team effort to light up the city for the holidays. “Well, people are going to see them through the holidays. We try to get them up before Thanksgiving. We’ve got the parade that is coming up the Monday, right after Thanksgiving, so we are trying to get everything up. The Street Department here with the city has done a great job making sure that everything is re-bulbed and everything is lit. Our crews work together with the Street Department to get everything up. So, hopefully it brightens the holidays and gives everybody that little extra cheer.” In addition, Mayor Dan Alexander and the Seneca City Council will light the holiday decorations and Christmas Tree in Norton-Thompson Park before the Seneca Christmas Parade on Monday, Nov. 27, at 6pm.
