OMH Foundation hosting 14th Annual Christmas Tree Festival

The community is invited to the 14th Annual Hospice of the Foothills Christmas Tree Festival at St. Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation Manager Cortni Nations gives details. “We’re excited to be celebrating our wonderful hospice program, GHS Hospice of the Foothills. This is a fundraising event and really perhaps the largest charitable festival in our area; this event brings out thousands of people. So, we are excited to showcase beautifully decorated trees and wreaths that businesses as well as individuals have sponsored and decorated. We would just love for the public to come out and see us.” Nations tells about free viewings of the Christmas Tree Festival. “Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are our shopping days and you can view the beautifully decorated trees and wreaths for free. Come wander around our Winter Wonderland, it is absolutely beautiful.” The free viewing hours on Tuesday, Nov. 28, are from 10am to 8pm, Wednesday, Nov. 29, hours are 10am to 5pm and on Thursday, Nov. 30, it is from 10am to 3pm. Looking for a gift idea, Nations gives a way to honor a loved one this year and benefit hospice at the same time. “We have a Wings of Love Tree that is in the foyer of our hospital and for $10 you can purchase a dove on the tree. Those doves symbolize an honorarium. The proceeds go back to Hospice of the Foothills through the Wings of Love Tree. We have those for $10 and it is a great way to honor your loved one, if you would like an expensive gift and one that gives back.” The 14th Annual Christmas Tree Festival benefiting GHS Hospice of the Foothills takes place at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, which is located at 170 Bountyland Road in Seneca. Last year’s event raised $170,000 for Hospice of the Foothills.
