YMCA hoping for Loan Approval in 2018

The Foothills YMCA is hoping 2018 will be the year that a federal loan is approved in order to build a new facility. YMCA CEO Christle Ross says that representatives recently visited Oconee County and explained that the federal agency will not have money to lend this year, but the loan request could be approved next year. According to Ross, the request for a low interest, 30-year loan of $8.3 million is tied to federal government’s fiscal year that runs October through September.
