Donate to Celebrate Christmas with a Hero

You can make a needy child’s Christmas bright this year by donating to Celebrate Christmas with a Hero. New toy and clothing items for children aged 4-14 may be dropped off at Seneca City Hall now through Dec. 18, explains Seneca Police Lt. Lisa Williams, one of the organizers of Celebrate Christmas with a Hero. “Just pretty much anything for that age group, they can donate at city hall. Anybody that would like a receipt for any of those, I’m happy to provide that, they’ll just need to tell whoever is sitting there at city hall give them your name and address, so that I can mail them a receipt for their taxes. Any monetary donations need to be made out to Celebrate Christmas with a Hero or CCWAH Inc. I can provide receipts, any checks or money that I get I automatically generate a receipt for them. So, we are glad to do that to help them on their taxes too. So, we’re just thankful for people’s generosity and we’re thankful that they trust us with their gifts.” Celebrate Christmas with a Hero is a 501c3 non-profit program that helps working families that might be struggling for whatever reason to get back on their feet. Celebrate Christmas with a Hero has volunteers shop in advance for the children, who are screened by an established protocol and are referred through private, governmental, clergy and others that are aware of needs in the community. Celebrate Christmas with a Hero gives gifts that include needs and wants of the child.
