Townville Woman arrested on a Shoplifting Charge

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has a charged a Townville woman with shoplifting related to an investigation this past weekend at the Seneca Walmart. 19-year-old Madeline Elizabeth Boyce of Childress Drive was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center after being arrested on a Breach of Peace charge at the Childress Drive address after deputies were called out due to reports of a disturbance in which Boyce was reportedly damaging property inside the residence. The deputy investigating the shoplifting obtained the arrest warrant against Boyce based upon information the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office received. On Tuesday, Crimestoppers of Oconee County, Inc. in partnership with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release seeking the public’s help regarding the investigation into the Dec. 9, shoplifting. The items that the subject shoplifted were all recovered. Those items were valued at around $806.
