NC Couple charged in OC Theft

A North Carolina couple has been arrested and charged with stealing Duke Energy property from the property of a former manufacturing plant near Seneca. The theft of scrap metal occurred Friday at the former Covidien plant on Highway 28. A deputy of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office stopped a car at the intersection of Highway 123 and Brookwood Drive. That led to charges and citations against Gastonia residents David Alexander Wright and Natalee Nicole Wright. Warrants accuse David Wright of grand larceny and possession of tools capable of being used in a crime.
