Day for Durham at Chick-fil-A of Seneca

A fundraiser is underway today at the Chick-fil-A of Seneca for Kayla and Michael Durham. Days before Christmas, Kayla suffered from a serious medical event, called AVM, which left her hospitalized for a lengthy period. As a result, surgery was necessary, followed by a lengthy recovery process, and a financial burden for the Durham family. Michael is a sergeant with the Seneca Police Department and local law enforcement agencies have been assisting with a t-shirt fundraiser. Today, Feb. 15, Chick-fil-A of Seneca will give a percentage of meal sales between 6am and 10pm to Kayla and Michael Durham. There will be children’s activities from 3:30-7pm, a silent auction and t-shirt sales. In addition, on Friday, Feb 16, from 9am to 6pm, Blue Ridge Bank will hold a fundraiser for the Durhams. Stop by any of Blue Ridge Bank’s four locations to purchase homemade baked goods. All proceeds will benefit the Day for Durham fundraiser. Blue Ridge Bank locations are at the Main Office in Walhalla at 100 East Main Street, the North John Office in Walhalla at 100 North John Street, the Seneca Office at 118 Bountyland Road and the Westminster Office at 200 West Windsor Street. These Blue Ridge Bank locations in Oconee County are designated drop-off spots for monetary donations.
