New Principal named for West-Oak Middle School

At the regular board meeting on Feb. 19, the Board of Trustees for the School District of Oconee County (SDOC) accepted the recommendation of Dr. Timothy Scott as the new principal of West-Oak Middle School. The effective date of this appointment is July 1, 2018. Dr. Scott has 32 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. He is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Operations for Douglas County School District in Georgia. Prior to serving in his role as Assistant Superintendent of Operations, Dr. Scott was Principal at Douglas County High School. Dr. Scott holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Georgia College and a doctorate degree in administration and supervision from Argosy University. “I am both humbled and excited for the opportunity to serve the teachers, students and parents of West-Oak Middle School. I am looking forward to working with our staff and parents to continue to provide a first class education to our students that prepares them for the college or career path of their
