No Threat at Walhalla High

The School District of Oconee County (SDOC) released the following statement this morning from Walhalla High School Principal Steve Garrett after an incident at the school on Monday. “Administration was made aware of a message Monday morning in the ladies restroom stall at Walhalla High that could be perceived as a threat. Law enforcement was informed and a thorough investigation occurred. As a result, there was no evidence found to support a credible threat against the school. There was a follow up discussion conducted on Tuesday morning and rumors of the message began being posted on social media. We want to assure parents that safety is our number 1 priority and we will continue to be vigilant in our efforts to have a welcoming yet safe school.”
