CRAFT BEER BUSINESS, A FIRST FOR SENECA

Applause rang out in an upper section of a Ramcat Alley restaurant for the announcement that Seneca is in line for a brewing company to feature a line of several craft beers. Keowee Brewing Company will locate down the street in a building to be remodeled at 401 E. Main at the N. Walnut intersection. The owners-operators are Alex and Allison Butterbaugh, who grew up in Spartanburg but come to Seneca by way of Wisconsin. Alex Butterbaugh described the time is right for Seneca’s first brewing company. And a large number of invited announcement guests, invited by the Oconee Economic Alliance, were in agreement, including the Alliance’s Richard Blackwell and the Seneca mayor, Dan Alexander.
