Kids playing Spring Sports in the City of Seneca

Over 550 kids are participating in spring sports this season through the Seneca Recreation Department. There are several teams in each age group playing baseball, softball or flag football, says Seneca Recreation Director Rick Lacey. “We have around 32 baseball and softball teams and about 150 people playing flag football. Then you have to throw in our adult softball league also. So, the Shaver Complex and Gignilliat are pretty busy in the spring time.” Baseball and softball games are played at the Shaver Recreation Complex and flag football games take place on Gignilliat Field. It is free to watch regular season games at the Seneca Recreation Department.
